Representative group of Jesuit institutions from Asia-Pacific region visited Spectrum

With the support of Catholic Bishop Conference Myanmar (C.B.C.M), a group of 35 people working in various Jesuit institutions on social justice issues, from around 10 different nationalities in Asia Pacific visited Spectrum office in Yangon.

They are the representatives who are attending a four-day conference on the theme of Reconciliation and Justice in Natural Resource Management organized by CBCM.

During their two-hour visit on 6th July, 2017, Spectrum’s Director David Allan explained them about Spectrum establishment in 2007, priority issues and strategies for Spectrum’s working areas as well as the challenges we experience as a civil society organization in Myanmar. He also explained about Spectrum current projects implementing in various States and Regions.

Spectrum staff also shared their experiences and challenges related to their projects. Spectrum program officer Khaul Pi said, “We are very excited to share our experiences of working in community level. And very pleased to see they are interested in our Spectrum working areas.”

One of the representatives told Spectrum that they were very pleased to learn on Spectrum’ contribution to development of Myanmar especially in Myanmar Natural Resource Management sector and Myanmar Financial sector. And they gave a lot of good comments on Spectrum’s publications.
